Criterion and TeX join forces to transform transfers and re-reg processes
18 November 2018
Criterion and TeX join forces to support TRIG in transforming transfers and re registration processes across the long-term savings and investments industry for the benefit of customers.
"Collaborating with TeX enables us to bring together the best of both organisations capabilities. TRIG have initiated and identified the catalogue of transfers that are available to customers today, IT is a LONG list, with some areas more complex than others. There will be a number of solutions -one size does not fit all! We anticipate by applying our collective expertise, we can then identify priorities for standardisation, which ultimately, will help set consumer expectations and drive delivery of improved customer outcomes. Our industry has to put the consumer at the heart of its thinking, and I am determined to deliver this. We have to start somewhere, and Criterion believes that initial effortswill help stimulate additional innovation to consider how best to automate and or simplify the more complex transfers further down the line."
Caroline Mansley, Managing Director, Criterion
“We are very keen to drive high levels of collaborative working as far reaching across the industry as possible, this is exactly why Criterion was formed. The reach of both Criterion and TeX could make this very possible; and to support this we are currently exploring TeX having representation on the Criterion Board, we hear this may be reciprocated.”
Iain Duffin, Chairman, Criterion

About STAR
STAR was created as a collaboration between Criterion and TeX, combining the industry-reach, unique strengths, experience and shared ambition of the two not-for-profit organisations.
Criterion was formed for the industry in July 2017, as an independent, not-for-profit industry body providing Standards and Governance services. It was originally part of Origo Services Ltd and has been publishing process and integration standards for over 25 years. Criterion is uniquely positioned to facilitate and drive cross-industry engagement, helping organisations achieve higher levels of collaboration, reduce costs and achieve better outcomes for their consumers.
TeX is a not-for-profit organisation which works with the industry to ensure that the maximum benefit is provided to all members. This new company is financially independent from TISA but benefits from being linked to the TISA brand through name, the expertise provided by the two corporate entity directorships and the administrative support provided by TISA.
